Warwick Alder graduated from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music in 1981 with honours from the Jazz Course. He performed with Morrison Bros Big Bad Band in the mid-eighties (recorded 2 albums), worked at Channel 9 Orchestra for 3 years (Ray Martin Show and Mike Walsh Show), and is a founding member of Ten Part Invention (1986) and the Australian Jazz Orchestra (1988). He is currently with the Bernie McGann Quartet and lectures at the Conservatorium in the jazz course. Warwick has also performed with Eartha Kitt, Joe Williams, Cleo Laine, Louis Bellson, Buddy De Franco, Sheila Jordan, Toshiko Akiyoshi, Lew Tabakin, Curtis Lundy and Gary Smulyen.
