The competition is for a solo carillon work around 4-6 minutes (and not exceeding 7 minutes) in length suitable for performance on the National Carillon in Canberra and the Sydney University War Memorial Carillon.

Prize money

1st prize $2,000; 2nd prize $1,000; 3rd prize $500. This year there will be an additional prize of $500 from the Royal Carillon School “Jef Denyn” Mechelen, Belgium.


Open to music students currently enrolled at an Australian college or tertiary institution with an interest in composition.
